We will be leaving for the big city of Boston tomorrow. Our return will be Sunday so if I do not have any computer service I will get back to you all on Monday.
We have some great things coming up and our cream to powder eye shadow is ready. Just choose the color you want from our pallet in the eye shadow link. Leave a note that you would like a cream eye shadow and I will have it on it's way.

A new creamy shampoo is in the development stage along with our eye shadow wet liner. We are calling it Brazer. It helps to adhere your eye shadows  and will turn any mineral eye shadow into an eyeliner. This stuff is great and stays put drys fast too.
we are now doing wholesale. If you are interested please contact me. We have already had a few shipments go out to Australia and are very happy to have them as customers.
Well until next week take care and have a great weekend.

This is exciting and I can hardly wait.  Our new cream to powder eye shadows are going to be released in aWeek. That's right only a few day. By Tuesday of next week we will have a few colors on this site. We are really excited about getting these out to our customers.
Why cream to powder? Any one with dry skin or older skin can tell you the mineral powders are beautiful but who has time for all the primers and fussing that goes with them. They can settle into creases and lines only making your already sagging eye lids look worse. Not to mention the mess they make putting them on as they seem to go every where.
Mineral eye shadows are good for our skin and have great benefits but as we age we seem to need more from our cosmetics and this is a great answer.
Each color we have will be available in a cream to powder form. So If we do not have the color listed yet just e-mail us and we will get the color up for you.
The new Fusion Eye Powder mix will be launch by this weekend. Waiting for labels and it is ready to go. We have put together a wonderful wet liner product that helps keep your shadows where you want them. Also turns any mineral powder into an eyeliner. These will come in a small pump for the mean time until we find just the right bottle that suits us. Here at Pony Dust Cosmetics we are a bit particular with the packaging.
Other new listing are the silky line of shampoo and conditioner. Made with special ingredients like rose hip oil, avocado oil, silk amino acids this is a wonderful daily product line. Apple scented that is fresh and clean smelling.
When trying to name this line I wanted to call it pony Poo but was quickly discouraged from that. So I named it after my oldest horse Silk. It is fitting I think since it has silk amino acid in it that we call it that.
New colors are up so be sure to check out the lip and eye shadow pages.
I am introducing 6 blushes in the next few weeks. Also my mineral foundation powders that will also be available in cream to powder.
for now that is what is coming up and what is new.
You can stay current on all my new listings by subscribing to Our site here.

As Promised I have the shaving cream ready. A foaming shaving cream that can double as a face wash. Can be used for men or women but I geared to to the more masculine side. I have to admit though I love shaving my legs with it and it feels great as a face wash.
It is very gentle and leaves your skin silky smooth. Shaving never felt better. Not your fathers shaving cream for sure. It is a thick whip that helps glide your blade across you skin and lift hairs for a closer shave.
New Lip balms will be announced soon. I am working on labels and they should be ready with in a day or 2. Labels are what holds things up at times. I design them myself and print them also. I find it hard to get them just the way I want. Then when I do I find a small spelling or typo and I have to do them all over again. I am also short on time and delivery of my labels is never fast enough.
Hopefully as I get the designs done and everything the way I want it It will be a much shorted time for introductions of new items.
So thanks for being patient as I get this all together.

Coming soon from my salon a new foam shaving cream. that's right a great foamy shaving soap that is wonderful to shave with. My poor fiance had to try so many of my concoctions until it was just perfect. Now we are both satisfied with the results both in how it shaves and foams and the consistency of the creamy foam. Should have it out this week. Great for a face wash and a shaving cream for both men and women. Gentle and nourishing.

You will see there is a new page called my Secret Closet What is it you ask? Well you will just have to take a look. A fun flirty page with wonderful products to tempt your taste buds and put a spark in your love life. Look at the top of this page for my Secret Closet.

Everyone who colors there hair wants it to last, (Most of the time). Professional colored hair is an investment in ones self and the price is well worth it if it makes you look great. So I am asked all the time why does my hair color fade, what can I use to make it last? Here are some tips and tricks to keeping you hair color beautiful longer.

First we must look at what hair color is. the different types of color also play a big role in how long they will last and of course those rascally reds that seem to fade within days. We will start with semi permanent color. It is meant to wash out within a few weeks and if your hair is dry damaged or your water is treated it will wash away sooner. Semi permanent color only covers the shaft of the hair it lays on the outer shell of the hair only dying the outer layer. Thus washing away each shampoo. They are usually the least damaging and if you like to change colors often a great choice. If you are new to color and only want to see what it would look like they are a good introduction to color.

Then we have demi permanent hair color that uses a mild promoter or chemical to open the hair shaft to deposit color. The structure of this color is still less damaging and is meant to wash away gradually so you do not have a growth line. Great for blending grey hair and adding shine or a hint of color to dull hair. Also a wonderful addition to between color treatments.Permanent hair color opens the shaft of the hair to change the color completely. Ammonia or a list of many chemicals I will not get into now. Opens the hair shaft then lifts the hair color that is there then leaves the color that is put on. Thus being great for gray coverage, shine, body, and completely changing your own color. They last until they grow out but will have some fading depending on the length of your hair. Can be damaging if not done properly.

So how Do we keep our Color longer?

It is not your shampoo that fades your color. Shampoo is actually for cleaning you scalp. Conditioners are great for de-tangling and adding shine and control and do not remove color. The biggest culprit in your color fading is your water. Water changes the molecular structure of hair. Ever wet your hair and roll it on rollers? When it drys it is in the shape of what ever roller you had it on. Water opens the cuticles and when that happens it rinses out color. Best thing to do is use Luke warm water. Hot water opens the cuticle of the hair more releasing more color. Chlorinated water also will remove color or salt treated water. Well water can leave mineral build up leaving your hair dull but is usually best if used at a cooler temperature. If you live in a city with treated water and want to save your hair color used bottled water at least for rinsing. Cold water will close the cuticle and get it ready for styling. The other culprit is styling. Blow drying with hot air or using a styling tool will diminish you hair color also. Try using a styling aid that has a heat protector in it. Anything that has a silicone base will also help keep the cuticles of the hair flat and protect your hair color investment.

I hope this helps. Until next time when we talk about the right hair style for your age.
