How Did Pony Dust Come About
I have been a hair stylist for 20 years and in that time have worked with many cosmetic companies. To my dismay they don't seem to care about their customers or product. One company even let me buy their entire line with out informing me they would be discontinuing the product line all together. I paid for the education on how to use the line, I shelled out thousands of dollars for the display and retail products only to have them stop the line within 3 months of me purchasing it. Another company wanted me to buy so much of the product that I could never sell it. I had so much crap I didn't need or want just to be able to stay with the company. These companies have great products but unrealistic marketing plans. They never cared about the little salon or the customers that I had. So I started my own cosmetics company. I named it Pony Dust because my salon name is Pony Tails. I know it's strange but I am a horse lover have been from when I was little. I also love to create and make things. I own my own salon for 19 years now. I have worked on a horse farm, at a sewer plant, in a factory ( I don't suggest that unless you just must). I have been a bar tender, maid, cleaning lady and many other things. I just always seem to fall back on the beauty industry. It is fun and creative in so many ways. As a young girl I loved barbie and playing with her long hair. I liked makeup barbie and of course Dallas barbie ( she had a horse). I also make jewelry and really enjoy that but I wanted something more for my salon. Something that really made it stand out. So I have created a line of products that are natural, fun, colorful and healthy for you. I hope you enjoy them as much as I love making them. Don't forget to grab a body butter in your favorite scent. The moisturizing benefits of these butters is just amazing.
